Chalet
Jacque is a new luxury chalet, completed in October 2007 to the very highest
standards. We welcomed our first guests in December 2007 and
following two very successful winter seasons, we are delighted to
welcome you to our first summer season. The chalet sits above the authentic Swiss village of Haute Nendaz, in an exclusive area known as Les Cleves and is an ideal base for your luxury self catered holiday. Nestling in a tranquil location, the chalet has fantastic views across the valley to the vinyards and apricot orchards on the mountains beyond. There is an extensive network of bisses around and above Nendaz. Bisses are man made water channels, some dating back several hundred years, designed to take water down to the valley below. Adjacent to the bisses are footpaths which take you through some of the most beautiful scenary in the Alps. For mountain biking enthusiasts there are lots of marked V.V.T. tracks around the area and further a field throughout the Four Valleys. The world famous Grand Raid mountain bike race, which starts in Verbier, passes within a few metres of the chalet each August. There is a heated open air swimming pool in Haute Nendaz and a spa in Saillon. But your
summer holiday at Chalet Jacque does not have to be
strenuous. You could just soak up the sun in the chalet
garden or on the balcony around the chalet. The valley in
which Nendaz sits is claimed to be one of the sunniest areas in
Europe with over 300 days of sunshine each year. |
